The passion for working with Australian Red Gum started when Andrew Clancy was a young boy on his family’s farm in South Australia, a property studded with the great eucalypt. He is a designer and maker of heirloom quality furniture, meticulous in his selection of timbers which he mills himself and air dries on the farm until the timber is seasoned and ready to be worked with.

This allows him to work with the best of the best, selecting timber with extraordinary figure and grain. This he combines with the 10,000 year old ebonized gum that is incorporated as a delicate feature detail.

Andrew’s designs combine simple classic lines with modern aesthetics, and apart from his Red Gum Range is happy to work with a client to design custom pieces to suit any situation.
